Federal Lawsuit Is Over: On June 23, 2008, a final judgment was entered by the United States District Court in New Jersey after three years of litigation. Paul DeFiroe, Russell J. Lacasse and Maxam Eyewear were defendants in this lawsuit. The Judgment prohibits these defendants from using the IBEAMS trademark and from using the copyrighted Ibeams G-Codes. The Judgment further ordered that the defendants may no longer offer for sale the MAXAM REPELLER RX, MAXAM EXCAVATOR RX, MAXAM MAXAMIZER RX, MAXAM ACCELERATOR SLIM, MAXAM ACCELERATOR WIDE, MAXAM DEFLECTOR, EXCAVATOR, MAXAM MAXAMIZER or MAXAM REPELLER eyeglass frames must turnover all inventory of such frames. The Judgment also ordered the transfer of the ibeams.com domain name. and removal of the "MAXAMEYEWEAR.COM" web site.
